A Quieter Way of Working

If you’ve found your way here recently, welcome.

And if you’ve been reading quietly for a while, this may still give you a clearer sense of why I work the way I do.

I don’t tend to shout about what I do.

And I’m not particularly interested in convincing women they need fixing.

What I am interested in is how capable, intelligent women create real, lasting change, without burning themselves out in the process.

What I’ve learned about change

For more than 25 years, I worked in leadership and management roles, often in male-dominated industries where competence was assumed, pressure was normalised, and vulnerability wasn’t exactly encouraged.

Over time, I noticed something consistent.

The women around me weren’t lacking confidence because they weren’t capable.

They were often more capable than those around them.

What held them back was quieter:

  • holding themselves to higher standards

  • taking on more responsibility than was theirs to carry

  • second-guessing decisions they were more than qualified to make

And doing all of this while appearing outwardly “fine”.

That observation stayed with me.

Because I could see how much energy was being spent trying to push through rather than pause, regulate, and trust themselves.

Why I work the way I do now

Today, I’m a Certified Mindset Coach and EFT Practitioner, and my work blends mindset, emotional regulation, and practical tools that support change under real-world pressure.

But what matters more than the tools themselves is how they’re used.

I don’t believe in pushing women to be tougher.

I don’t believe confidence comes from overriding discomfort.

And I’m not interested in dramatic reinvention.

The work I do is quieter than that.

It’s about:

  • understanding your patterns without judging them

  • learning how your nervous system responds to stress and expectation

  • building habits and responses that feel supportive, not demanding

The goal isn’t to become someone else.

It’s to feel steadier, clearer, and more confident as the person you already are.

Who this work is for

This tends to resonate most with women who:

  • are outwardly capable but inwardly hard on themselves

  • have navigated responsibility, leadership, or high standards for a long time

  • want change, but not at the cost of their wellbeing

You don’t need to be at breaking point.

You don’t need a dramatic story.

And you don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to be willing to notice what’s no longer working, and be open to a more sustainable way forward.

Why I’m sharing this now

January brings new energy, new readers, and a lot of noise about reinvention.

This is simply my way of saying:

You don’t need a new version of yourself.

You don’t need to try harder.

And you don’t need to prove your commitment through exhaustion.

You can start exactly where you are.

If that feels like a relief, you’re probably in the right place.
