One Year Alcohol-Free: Cheers to Change (and Confusing My Friends)

A year ago, if you’d told me I’d give up alcohol, I would’ve laughed (probably with a glass of red in hand). But here I am - 365 days later - feeling clearer, more confident, and happier than ever.

It wasn’t about restriction; it was about freedom. Freedom from groggy mornings, fuzzy memories, and habits that didn’t serve me. Saying “no” to wine in France or prosecco in Italy? Not easy. But learning I didn’t need it to be confident, social, or me? Life-changing.

This journey has been about more than giving up alcohol it’s been about stepping into my power and shifting my mindset. For anyone thinking about taking the leap, here’s my advice: don’t focus on what you’re giving up; focus on everything you’ll gain.
